Each step depends on the one before it. Steps done out of order usually have to be repeated.
Step 1 — Start here — as early as possible
We check your pet's species, age, vaccination history and your destination, then write out a dated plan. Some countries need months of lead time, others only weeks — this visit tells you which one you are dealing with.
Step 2 — Day 1 of the official process
The microchip must be implanted and registered before the rabies vaccination that counts for export. A rabies shot given before the chip is usually rejected and has to be repeated.
Step 3 — After the microchip
Given and recorded with the chip number on the certificate. If your pet's rabies cover is already current but predates the chip, we will tell you whether it must be redone.
Step 4 — Typically several weeks later
Blood is drawn and sent to an approved laboratory. Many destinations then impose a fixed waiting period counted from the date the sample was drawn, not from the date the result arrives.
Step 5 — Close to departure
A physical examination shortly before travel, plus fresh deworming and ectoparasite treatment where required, signed off by a licensed DVM (UVAS) veterinarian.
Step 6 — Final step
We hand over the complete veterinary file for your export permit / NOC submission and go through the airline's crate and labelling requirements with you.
Exact waiting periods, approved laboratories and fees are set by the destination country and confirmed during your assessment — we do not quote them blind.

Generally the strictest route: microchip first, rabies vaccination after, an antibody titer from an approved lab and a waiting period counted from the blood draw. Plan for the longest lead time of any destination.
Usually an import permit obtained before travel, a microchip, current rabies cover and a health certificate issued within a short window of departure. Lead times are shorter but the paperwork order matters.
Requirements differ sharply between them — some routes are documentation-led, others add quarantine and pre-approval steps. Bring your destination and travel date and we will map the sequence.
